Radia-Guard
Radiation Treatment Lotion
Helps Prevent Skin Breakdown
Radia Guard Treatment Lotion with Lidocaine
helps to soothe skin discomfort and helps to
prevent skin breakdown. Radia Guard’s unique
formula helps safeguard the skin against the
uncomfortable side effects of radiation therapy
for every age radiation therapy patient. Radia
Guard Treatment Lotion aids in the prevention
of skin breakdown before it occurs and assists
with the relief of pain with the added benefits
of the combination of Aloe Vera Gel, Lidocaine,
Jojoba Oil, and Green Tea.
Aloe Vera contains numerous vitamins and minerals,
enzymes, amino acids, natural sugars and agents
which may be anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial.
The combination and balance of the plant's ingredients
are what purportedly gives it its healing properties.
Studies have shown that Aloe Vera speeds the
healing process of the skin, particularly in
burns, including those from radiation treatments.
It is also used to help moisturize and soften
the skin and may relieve itching and swelling
of irritated skin and may help kill fungus and
bacteria.
Lidocaine is used to provide relief from the
pain, discomfort, and irritation associated
with radiation therapy. Lidocaine will soothe
the skin and stop pain with use.
Jojoba Oil will help to fight wrinkles but most
importantly moisturizes extra dry and/or damaged
skin. It absorbs quickly and works to decrease
lines and wrinkles and will rejuvenate the skin
by assisting with new cell growth and by increasing
the skin’s elasticity to make it smoother and
softer.
Green Tea was added to protect healthy cells
and to promote the death of cancer cells as
it has been found to contain compounds that
have led to new treatments for skin disease
and wound treatment. Green tea is not fermented;
therefore it keeps the powerful antioxidants
that are normally lost in the fermenting process.
Green tea also contains polyphenols such as
tannins (a nutrient antioxidant) catchins, (EGCG
which is a powerful antioxidant), and flavenoids,
as well as other vitamins and minerals, such
as Vitamin C. The antioxidants help your body
fight against free radicals, which can mutate
cells and make you sick. Green Tea has been
studied for years for its health benefits which
include the rejuvenation, relaxation, and healing
of the skin.
