I go to a snap fitness, and I’m wondering which machines to go on, and for how long, in order to lose weight, and tone up without bulking up.

I’ve never been to snap fitness but here are some guidelines you can use:

-First of all, you need a combination of cardiovascular exercise and strength training. One or the other will not cut it.

-If you do not want to bulk up but just tone your body, you need to do 12-15 reps per set when you are going your strength training. The lighter weights will tone you.

-The most immediate answer would be to see if your gym has circuit training. This is a section of the gym where you do the ’30-minute’ workout, moving from one machine to the other to get a total body body workout.

-Combine this with a cardio program where you use different machines each day (elliptical, stairmaster, treadmill) and mix up your cardio between steady-state cardio (going the same speed for a longer amount of time) with interval training (which features short bursts of high-intensity training).

im trying to loose 20-25 pounds. i work out and everything but when it comes to dieting, it just doesnt happen. and it doesnt help that my family buys really unhealthy food. i mean id love to eat healthy what should i do?

To loose weight, you don’t necessarily need to diet, but to watch what you eat. the healthiest way to loose weight would be to burn more calories then you take in. this does not mean starve yourself, but work out regularly. try running. Good luck :D

Question by SAND·n·SUN: What percent of girls who start dieting at 13 end up with eating disorders?
I know a girl who has been dieting since she was 13 and still is (she’s probably around 15 now). What are the chances of her getting an eating disorder? I’ve heard that like 86% of girls who diet at that age end up with one, is that true? What statistics do you have/know? I really would like to warn her parents, especially since they see nothing wrong with her behavior. I’m not sure if she’s throwing up in a bathroom or anything like that, but she definately is watching what she is eating, eating foods marked “low carb”, keeping track of how many pounds she has lost, and exercises for the benefit of weight loss. Also looks like she could use a vitamin if you know what I mean..
